Police or Emergency lights circuit
This microcontroller circuit has outputs for 2 red LED strobes and 2 blue LED strobes that simulate a modern police car, fire truck or emergency vehicle strobe lights. Also includes outputs for white LED headlights that flash in an alternating wig-wag pattern.
Simulated Fireflies Circuit
This was based on a project I did a while ago to simulate the look of fireflies in my garden. This circuit drives 8 yellow-green colored LEDS to simulate the look of fireflies. Each LED randomly blinks on quickly then slowly dims out to simulate a firefly in the evening. This is a very slow effect as only 1 or 2 LEDS blink at a time. The time between blinks can be greater than 30 seconds. Recommended to use small 3mm LEDS. This circuit is perfect for a forest scene near the campfires on a model railroad layout. The circuit can also be used outdoors in a garden when weather protected properly.
Multiple flickering flames circuit
This microcontroller based circuit randomly flickers 8 yellow LEDs to simulate multiple flames. Can be used for halloween projects or model railroads.
Multiple campfire circuit
This microcontroller based circuit has a total of 4 random flickering campfire scenes. Each of the 4 campfires contains one flickering yellow LED for the flame, and one pulsating red led that simulates the glow of the embers in the fire.
Welding and Industrial Scene Circuit
This microcontroller based circuit contains an output for a LED that simulates welding, a LED that glows like glowing iron , a campfire/barrel fire, a blinking LED that can be used for a neon sign simulation, and a flickering LED output that simulates a burning out neon or fluorescent sign. All 4 circuits are contained in one chip!
Airport Beacon Lights Circuit
This microcontroller based circuit contains 4 outputs that drive 4 LEDs with one of the following selectable beacon looks; Fast strobe, slow incandescent beacon look, double blink beacon look. This circuit is used to simulate the look of lights on the top of TV towers, water towers or buildings by an airport scene.
Animated house lights circuit
This microcontroller circuit drives 6 white LEDs, with each one periodically turning off to give a lived in look for model railroad buildings. Use this circuit to drive the white LEDS that light up the inside of your buildings on your model railroad layout. The circuit also drives a blue LED that simulates the look of a TV inside a building.
